Lourdes' New Store
in a village-neighborhood west of Dumaguete
February 2013
Lourdes and Delia all-smiles on opening-day
humble, but a good beginning!
in the middle of a densely-populated suburban residential area, previously "underserved for retail"
It offers all the little dry goods that residents need on a daily basis, and also our
farm-products such as rice, peanuts, eggs & etc -- eventually, chicken & pork too.
faithful shopkeeper Delia
general view
our worker Ahmai and Lou's step-dad Leon, who together did most of the construction, in less than a week.
friendly neighbors next-door
there's room in back for a refrigerator, cot, sink with food-prep space, etc
cool little solar-powered lights, very useful -- charge 'em by day, have free lighting every evening
